Welcome to Atlantic East Division
Ceud Mile Failte!  A hundred thousand welcomes from Atlantic East Division. My name is David MacLean and I am currently the Division President of Atlantic East Division.  Atlantic East is one of nine divisions within the Canadian Ski Patrol System across Canada.  We have approximately five thousand volunteers who make ski hills across the country a safer place to enjoy.

The Canadian Ski Patrol system provides first aid services to injured skiers.  This is done free of charge by our volunteers.  We are a highly trained, dedicated group who have a passion for skiing and helping those in need of medical services.  Our first aid services are not limited to the ski hill.  We also provide first aid coverage to many community events and festivals where there are large gatherings of people.  These events include marathon races, mountain bike races, water sports, concerts and charity walks to name a few.

Atlantic East Division geographical boundaries include Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and comprises four Zones.

In the province of Nova Scotia we provide first aid services to four main ski areas.  These include Cape Smokey ski area and Ben Eoin Ski area in Cape Breton which are covered by Cabot Zone.  On the mainland of Nova Scotia Ski Wentworth and Ski Martock are covered by Scotia Zone.

Across the Cabot Strait in Newfoundland we have Humber Dorset Zone which patrols the Marble Mountain Ski Resort.  On East coast of Newfoundland Terra Nova Zone patrols the White Hills and Logy Lump Ski Areas.

Atlantic East has a combined number of approximately two hundred and thirty volunteer patrollers.  Being part of the Canadian Ski Patrol System is an experience that you will have for the rest of your life as any of our patrollers or former patrollers can attest to.

They do it because they love it.
